Who We Are
Milir Foundation for Social Justice & Research is an anti-caste, liberation-centered mental health research organisation. Our work is rooted in lived experiences, collective struggles, and the urgent need for caste-aware mental health frameworks.
The word Milir means to shine, to radiate, to become visible. It reflects our commitment to making visible the emotional, psychological, and systemic harms caused by caste—and to building pathways for dignity, healing, and justice.
We believe research is meaningful only when it is community-informed, emotionally grounded, and accountable to those most affected.
