Our Approach

How We Work

Anti-Caste Affirmation
Every Milir initiative is grounded in an unconditional commitment to anti-caste
values, dignity, and liberation.

Lived Experience as Knowledge
We treat stories, emotions, and embodied wisdom as data. Community members are
co-creators, not subjects.

Intersectionality
We recognise how caste intersects with gender, class, disability,
neurodivergence, sexuality, religion, language, and geography.

Ethical & Community-Led Research
Our work avoids extractive practices and prioritises consent, safety, accessibility, and accountability.

Trauma-Informed & Collective Healing
Healing from caste trauma is layered and non-linear. We centre compassion, grounding, connection, and shared resilience.

Decolonial Perspective
We challenge savarna, caste-blind, patriarchal, and Western-dominated frameworks, creating culturally rooted alternatives.
